Mepilex Heel Ag is our versatile antimicrobial foam dressing - for when you need antimicrobial efficacy to reduce bacterial load. The dressing is designed for low to moderate exuding burns and wounds. You can therefore use it for the treatment of foot ulcers, pressure sores and second-degree burns.

Prevention of wound infections
The foam dressing with silver can kill germs (bacteria and fungi) in the wound within 30 minutes, as shown in in-vitro tests. According to an international consensus, antimicrobial efficacy can reduce the bacterial load. It also acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection.

Mepilex Ag adheres gently to the wound thanks to Safetac - the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimises pain during dressing changes. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients
