The OneWayGlide chair cushion is a single-layer or double-layer (roll) chair cushion that is placed on the seat and thus prevents passive and unintentional sliding (without exerting force). It helps to maintain a stable sitting position and thus prevents unfavourable friction in the buttocks area. The One Way Glide can help patients with a tendency to skin problems that are ‘slip-related’. In particular, the thin skin over the coccyx is protected.
The OneWayGlide in the endless tube version (two-layer) fulfils the same product characteristics as the chair overlay, but also offers the option of making it easier for patients to return to their original sitting position. The endless tube made of velour only slides in one direction on surfaces on which the velour can grip, so that the user does not slide forwards unintentionally. The One Way Glide Non-Slip endless tube also does not slip away on smooth surfaces.
The OneWayGlide, long (single layer) offers the unique possibility of helping a patient to return to their original sitting position with little effort. It can be operated both by hand and with the foot. Provided the chair has an opening in the backrest. The carer adopts an ergonomic posture. During a transfer with the aid of a patient lift, the patient can be easily positioned up to the backrest using the One Way Glide (long).
