·        Tight sterile barrier: protects the I.V. catheter site or wound from external contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, blood and body fluids: in vitro tests show that the transparent film offers protection against viruses at least 27 nm in diameter, with the dressing remaining intact without leakage

·        Breathable film lets in oxygen and eliminates water vapor

·        Application frame facilitates precise positioning of the dressing, reducing the risk of sticking to gloves or to the dressing itself

·        Transparent dressing allows permanent visibility of intravenous insertion site

·        Dressing adapts to the skin for enhanced patient comfort

·        Can be worn for up to 7 days

·        Compatible with X-rays thanks to its transparency 3M™ Tegaderm™ products can be left safely on the patient's skin during radiotherapy treatments. The dressing does not act as a bolus, with or without a non-irritating 3M™ Cavilon™ skin protection film.

·        Can be used to maintain a moist wound environment to facilitate autolytic debridement
